Hey there. We’re Robin and Vaiga, a developer–writer duo who turned a late-night hackathon idea into a real product.
In June, we joined the World’s Largest Hackathon with Bolt with an app called Table Read Studio. Over 130,000 people took part. We were honoured to win the award for Uniquely Useful Tool.
That project started as a tool for both screenwriters and actors. As we kept building, it became clear the needs of each group were different. So we split the app in two.
Table Read Studio is now for screenwriters.
Self-Tape Studio is for actors.
Why we created Self-Tape Studio
Vaiga is a filmmaker. When she asks actors for self-tapes, she often hears the same problem. They need more time because they cannot find someone to read the other lines with them.
As writers, we also know how limiting it is to rehearse alone. You can learn lines, but timing, rhythm, and reactions are hard to judge without a partner.
Self-Tape Studio was built to solve that exact problem. It gives actors a reliable scene partner, available at any time.
What Self-Tape Studio does
